Paymentus reported Nov. 2, 2026, that third-quarter revenue rose 19.8% to $372.2 million, exceeding the range it had forecast in August as biller and transaction growth expanded its payment-processing business.
The company processed 219 million transactions in the quarter ended Sept. 30, up 20.1% from a year earlier, according to its earnings release. Net income increased to $27.5 million from $17.7 million.
Separate the profit measures
Contribution profit, a non-GAAP measure, rose 20.6% to $118.5 million. Adjusted EBITDA increased 38.6% to $49.7 million.
Paymentus reported an adjusted EBITDA margin of 41.9%. Its denominator is contribution profit, not revenue. The percentage therefore should not be described as a GAAP operating margin or as the share of revenue retained as net income.
Results advance the earlier outlook
The August earnings release had projected third-quarter revenue of $353 million to $363 million and adjusted EBITDA of $40 million to $45 million. The newly reported figures exceed both ranges. Second-quarter transaction volume was 213.4 million, providing a sequential comparison alongside the year-over-year growth figure.
Paymentus now forecasts full-year revenue of $1.464 billion to $1.469 billion, compared with its August range of $1.443 billion to $1.458 billion. That remains guidance, not completed annual performance.
For billers evaluating payment infrastructure, the release provides evidence of greater transaction activity and stronger provider earnings. It does not establish that any individual customer achieved lower processing costs or improved service outcomes.
