AppLovin reported 55% third-quarter revenue growth Nov. 4 and forecast higher sales for the final quarter of 2026, giving advertising buyers an updated financial picture of the platform as it expands its business.
Revenue was $2.185 billion for the quarter ended Sept. 30, compared with $1.405 billion a year earlier. Net income rose 72% to $1.439 billion.
Fourth-quarter outlook and capital plans
AppLovin expects fourth-quarter revenue of $2.365 billion to $2.395 billion. Those figures are company forecasts, not reported sales.
The company also disclosed a $3.2 billion increase in its share-repurchase authorization, bringing the total authorization to $3.6 billion as of the end of October. The authorization is not a statement that the company has spent that amount.
Results exceeded the prior company forecast
In its Aug. 5 second-quarter release, AppLovin projected third-quarter revenue of $2.055 billion to $2.085 billion. The newly reported result exceeded the top of that range.
The August report showed second-quarter revenue of $1.924 billion, up 53% from a year earlier, and net income of $1.267 billion. AppLovin’s latest year-over-year revenue growth rate was therefore above the June quarter’s pace.
Management scheduled its earnings webinar for 5 p.m. Eastern time Nov. 4. This report follows NextNow’s pre-earnings preview; it does not measure advertisers’ campaign returns.
