Anthropic filed publicly for an initial public offering on Oct. 26, moving its proposed stock-market debut forward while leaving the offering’s size and price unresolved.
The company said in its announcement that it intends to list Class A common stock on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol ANT. The number of shares and proposed price range have not been determined.
A filing, not a completed offering
Anthropic said the registration statement has not yet become effective. Its preliminary prospectus says the information is incomplete and may change; shares cannot be sold before effectiveness.
The document leaves the price, share count and expected delivery date blank. It describes sales by both Anthropic and selling shareholders, with the company receiving no proceeds from the selling shareholders’ sales.
From confidential submission to public documents
Anthropic announced a confidential draft submission on June 1. Today’s public filing is a further step in that process, not confirmation that trading has begun.
For business partners assessing Anthropic’s capital plans, the public prospectus supplies a document to examine rather than a settled financing outcome. Without a share count and price range, the announcement does not establish how much new capital the company will receive.
No trading date or valuation should be inferred from this filing-stage announcement. This report describes the proposed transaction and is not an investment recommendation.
