HubSpot forecast slower fourth-quarter revenue growth Nov. 4 even as the marketing software company reported higher quarterly profit and modestly increased its annual sales outlook.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 reached $947.6 million, up 17% from a year earlier on both a reported and constant-currency basis. The company expects 12% year-over-year revenue growth in the fourth quarter.

Subscriptions and profit rise

Subscription revenue rose 18% to $930.2 million. HubSpot reported 311,704 customers at the end of September, up 12% from a year earlier.

Net income under generally accepted accounting principles was $83 million, compared with $16.5 million a year earlier. GAAP operating income increased to $71.9 million from $11.2 million.

GAAP diluted earnings were $1.67 per share. HubSpot separately reported non-GAAP diluted earnings of $3.81, a measure that excludes stock-based compensation and other specified items.

Annual outlook edges higher

HubSpot forecast fourth-quarter revenue of $945 million to $947 million. StreetInsider reported an analyst consensus of $964.9 million. The company’s range is a management projection, not a reported result or a reduction to previously issued quarterly guidance.

For 2026, HubSpot now expects revenue of $3.685 billion to $3.687 billion, compared with the $3.678 billion to $3.686 billion range it issued in August. The new range modestly raises the midpoint and narrows the forecast.

The results advance the questions in Julie Wohlberg’s earlier earnings preview. Company-level revenue and profit do not, by themselves, establish returns from an individual customer’s AI deployment.
