CrowdStrike signed an agreement to acquire Dreadnode on Nov. 3, 2026, seeking to add automated testing of AI models, applications and agents to its Falcon platform. The transaction targets weaknesses found before deployment, a different part of the workflow from monitoring agents already in use.

In its announcement, CrowdStrike said the proposed acquisition is expected to close during its fourth quarter of fiscal 2027, subject to customary conditions. Payment is contemplated to be predominantly cash, with a stock component subject to vesting conditions. The release did not disclose a total purchase price.

Testing capability, not a completed integration

CrowdStrike says the planned offering would test for attacks such as prompt injection and jailbreaks, rank findings and generate reports for deployment decisions. General availability of the automated testing capabilities is planned for the same fiscal quarter; those statements describe the company’s intended integration, not a completed rollout.

Dreadnode separately confirmed the signed agreement and said its team would join CrowdStrike’s Cyber Superintelligence Lab after closing. It described bringing its automated AI security testing to Falcon as a future step.

This is a separate target and transaction from CrowdStrike’s Fiddler agreement, which concerns AI-agent observability and behavioral monitoring.

For enterprise security teams, the proposed business change is closer linkage between pre-deployment testing and runtime controls. Neither acquisition announcement demonstrates that every AI weakness can be detected or that an organization can dispense with its existing testing and review procedures.
