Oracle announced AI Agent Studio for Industry Applications on Oct. 21, 2026, extending its automation plans into sector-specific business processes. U.S. availability is planned within the next 12 months, according to a footnote in the company’s announcement, rather than an immediate production rollout.

The proposed environment would let customers create and test agents with visual tools and natural-language instructions. Oracle describes connections across supported industry applications, Fusion applications and its cloud infrastructure, along with monitoring of execution and AI-unit consumption.

Availability is still ahead

The new announcement identifies retail, construction, utilities and hospitality among intended uses. Broader regional expansion is planned over time. These are company plans, not evidence of completed customer deployments or independently measured productivity gains.

A separate Fusion foundation

Oracle’s March 24 announcement described an expanded AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications, including an agentic applications builder, workflow orchestration and contextual memory. That earlier release also outlined tools for measuring agent outcomes, including time and cost savings.

In March, Oracle said the Fusion studio was available at no additional cost to Fusion applications customers and partners. That statement concerned the Fusion offering; it should not be treated as a price commitment for the newly announced industry product.

For procurement and operations teams, the immediate distinction is between an existing development platform and a planned extension. Evaluating the new offering will require confirmation of availability, supported workflows and commercial terms for the specific deployment.
