Walmart launched a $120 annual membership bundle combining Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus on Oct. 20, 2026, linking its retail and warehouse-club services at a lower combined subscription price before the holiday shopping season.
The company says the bundle costs almost $100 less than buying the memberships separately. It is available to new members, while existing subscribers have different upgrade and activation paths.
Existing members have several options
According to Walmart’s announcement, annual Walmart+ members can switch for another $22 a year. Sam’s Club members can upgrade to Plus for $60 more annually and receive Walmart+ with it. Existing Plus members can activate Walmart+ without an additional charge.
Customers already paying for both can link their accounts. Walmart says most are eligible for a prorated Walmart+ refund; it does not promise that every subscriber qualifies.
Delivery benefits have conditions. Scheduled Walmart orders require a $35 minimum, while Sam’s Club orders require $50, subject to availability and other restrictions. The streaming benefit allows a choice of Peacock Premium or Paramount+ Essential, both ad-supported, with a selection change every 90 days.
A membership move before holiday spending
Reuters reported that the launch comes as lower- and middle-income households face spending pressure. The report also noted Walmart’s reliance on advertising to support profitability.
The combined offer brings two shopping channels into one membership proposition. Whether that translates into more purchases or stronger retention is not established by the launch itself.
