Sopra Steria announced Nov. 2 that it completed its acquisition of the Manufacturing Engineering business of Daher Industrial Services, adding aerospace production expertise as the technology-services group expands its industrial engineering operations.

The acquired business employs more than 360 people and generated more than 42 million euros in revenue in 2025, according to Sopra Steria. It has been consolidated into the group’s accounts from Oct. 31. That accounting date is separate from Monday’s public announcement.

Engineering support for aerospace production

Sopra Steria entered exclusive negotiations for the business in May. Its announcement at the time described two principal activities: preparing for production at key stages of the manufacturing lifecycle, and supporting production ramp-ups and process efficiency.

In May, Sopra Steria said the employees were based mainly in France and that the business generated most of its revenue with Airbus. Those details describe the acquired operation, not the purchase of Airbus assets or of Daher as a whole.

The transaction gives Sopra Steria additional capacity in the work required to turn aerospace designs into repeatable manufacturing processes. The buyer describes the acquisition as part of a strategy to serve more of the aerospace value chain.

The closing release does not disclose a purchase price or quantify cost savings. It also does not establish that the change of ownership has already increased aircraft production. Those operating outcomes remain distinct from completing the acquisition and adding the business to consolidated reporting.
