Sandisk reported on Oct. 29, 2026, that fiscal first-quarter data-center revenue increased 61% from the preceding quarter while consumer revenue declined, showing a widening difference between its enterprise and consumer businesses as total sales reached $11.031 billion.
Rapid News Brief — The fiscal 2027 quarter ended Oct. 2, 2026. Total revenue increased 23% sequentially, according to the company’s results announcement. Revenue was also substantially above the $2.308 billion recorded in the same fiscal quarter a year earlier.
Data centers and consumers move in different directions
Data-center sales reached $4.802 billion, compared with $2.977 billion in the preceding quarter. Consumer revenue fell 29% to $397 million from $556 million. Edge revenue increased 7% to $5.832 billion.
Chief Executive David Goeckeler attributed the data-center business’s faster growth to robust and growing product demand. That is management’s explanation; the revenue figures do not separately measure how much of the increase came from shipment volumes or pricing.
For the fiscal second quarter, Sandisk forecasts revenue of $12.2 billion to $12.6 billion. The forecast is a company expectation, not a completed sales result. Its end-market table shows why the overall growth rate should not be read as evidence that demand is moving uniformly across every customer group.
A separate change to the share count
Sandisk also approved an eight-for-one forward stock split. Its SEC filing says shareholders of record at the close of business Nov. 9 are scheduled to receive seven additional shares for each share held, issued after the market closes Nov. 19.
Trading on the adjusted basis is expected to begin Nov. 20 under the existing SNDK symbol. The filing also describes a proportional increase in authorized common shares from 450 million to 3.6 billion.
The split changes the number of shares, not the company’s operating results. Sandisk says shareholder ownership percentages will be unaffected. Its reported per-share earnings and next-quarter per-share forecast are presented on a pre-split basis, so comparisons need to keep that basis consistent.
