Celestica reported Oct. 26 that third-quarter revenue rose 83% to $5.83 billion, setting a higher starting point for its Oct. 27 investor day as AI infrastructure demand expands its manufacturing workload.
This Rapid News Brief separates reported performance from management’s forecasts. The company scheduled its combined earnings discussion and investor presentation for 8 a.m. Eastern on Oct. 27, according to its public event page, which provides a webcast link.
Cloud business leads the expansion
Investing.com reported that Celestica’s Connectivity and Cloud Solutions business generated $4.87 billion in quarterly revenue, up 102% from a year earlier. Advanced Technology Solutions revenue increased 23% to $960 million. Those figures show growth across both businesses, with the cloud-facing operation substantially larger.
The company reported diluted earnings of $3.26 a share under generally accepted accounting principles. Its adjusted, non-GAAP earnings were $3.30 a share. Adjusted operating margin reached 8.5%, compared with 7.6% a year earlier; the GAAP operating earnings-to-revenue measure was 7.9%, down from 10.2%.
The two margin measures should not be treated as interchangeable. Reporting both preserves the distinction between the company’s adjusted presentation and its accounting results, particularly when assessing whether higher sales are translating into stronger operating performance.
Forecasts put execution in focus
Management raised its 2026 revenue outlook to $21 billion and introduced a $40 billion revenue outlook for 2027. It also projected a 9% adjusted operating margin for 2027. These are company expectations, not completed sales or guaranteed results.
For business readers, the distinction between the quarterly results and next year’s outlook is essential. Current revenue measures work already recognized; guidance describes what management expects under assumptions that can change. A higher forecast does not by itself establish that manufacturing capacity, customer deployments or component availability will arrive on schedule.
The Oct. 27 webcast is the next scheduled public venue for Celestica’s leadership to discuss the results and outlook. Questions about delivery timing and the resources needed to support expansion are a useful way to evaluate the operational implications, rather than treating the revenue target as an accomplished outcome.
