Bedrock Robotics announced Oct. 26, 2026, that it raised $600 million in Series C financing to expand autonomous construction equipment across U.S. commercial sites, adding capital for deployment and field support beyond its initial excavator operations.
The company said CapitalG and Emergence Capital co-led the round at a $4.1 billion post-money valuation. It put cumulative funding at nearly $1 billion.
Financing follows commercial work
Bedrock says its fully autonomous excavators began paid work on live commercial projects in mid-August. Chief Executive Boris Sofman described the next task as making that capability dependable for more contractors, including strengthening operations supporting deployed machines.
Bessemer Venture Partners separately confirmed joining the round. Its investors described watching two excavators move earth without operators in their cabs during a visit to Austin, Texas. Bessemer is a financial participant, not an independent safety assessor.
Existing fleets are the starting point
Bessemer’s account describes Bedrock’s approach as retrofitting existing machinery rather than waiting for equipment manufacturers to integrate autonomy at the factory. That matters for contractors operating fleets from multiple manufacturers.
The financing gives Bedrock resources to expand deployments; it does not establish universal suitability for construction tasks or prove improved safety across job sites. Contractors evaluating the technology still need evidence specific to their equipment, workflows and operating conditions.
