JDM Technology Group said Oct. 29, 2026, that it acquired Dreeven Technologies, expanding its construction-software portfolio while committing to keep the Quebec company operating separately with its existing leadership.

Rapid News Brief — The transaction closed Oct. 23, according to JDM’s announcement. Financial terms were not disclosed. The distinction between the closing and announcement dates matters: this is a newly reported ownership change, not a transaction still awaiting completion.

Existing operation stays in place

JDM said Dreeven would retain its name, brand, identity and governance structure. It also committed to continued product development and support. Those statements describe the buyer’s operating plan; they do not specify a new pricing schedule or a mandatory customer migration.

The acquisition makes Dreeven the group’s third Quebec-based company, alongside Maestro Technologies and Mobile-Punch. JDM said its portfolio now contains more than 35 software companies, including construction-focused businesses such as Explorer Software, Computer Guidance and Penta Technologies.

Acquired’s coverage also reports the separate-business model and notes that JDM did not outline a plan to connect Dreeven with its other construction products. Common ownership should not be mistaken for a completed software integration.

Office and jobsite information share a platform

Dreeven’s product and company information lists tools for project-progress dashboards, crew and equipment dispatch, timesheets, document permissions and change requests. It also describes mobile access to plans, reports and jobsite requests.

The company says more than 71,000 construction professionals use its software. That is a company-reported user figure, not a count of separate paying organizations or a measure of the acquisition’s financial return.

For contractors and project owners, the immediate consequence is a change in the ownership of a system used to coordinate field and office work. Customers can assess the stated continuity plan alongside their own support arrangements, data-access needs and product roadmap. The announcement provides no measured evidence that the transaction itself has made projects faster or less expensive.
