Target announced an expansion of its Threshold home brand on Oct. 27, 2026, adding more than 800 items and changing how related products are presented as the retailer works to rebuild its home business.
The company described Threshold as its largest owned home brand and said the changes extend across stores and online. The announcement combines assortment, pricing and merchandising rather than introducing a separate brand.
Products and presentation change together
Target said the assortment spans traditional and contemporary styles, with updates to bedding, tabletop products and decorative accessories, including refreshed barware and serveware. It is grouping categories such as pillows, throws and tabletop decor to help shoppers find complementary items. Selected stores also have wood display fixtures.
The retailer highlighted previously reduced prices, including $50 queen Performance Sheets and selected queen comforters priced at $69, down from $89. Those reductions are part of the broader refresh, not a newly announced across-the-board discount.
Retail Dive reported in September that Target had reduced prices on about 2,000 home, apparel and accessories products ahead of the holiday season, including Threshold bedding.
The business test is whether the combined assortment and shopping changes improve the home category’s performance. The announcement describes what Target is changing; it does not establish the financial outcome of the refresh.
