Ryder System reported third-quarter revenue of $3.43 billion on Oct. 22, 2026, up 8% from a year earlier, and raised its annual comparable earnings forecast. The results provide a fresh operating signal for businesses buying outsourced transportation and logistics services.

The company’s results release reported earnings from continuing operations of $4.16 a diluted share, up 25%. Comparable earnings, a non-GAAP measure, were $4.33 a share, up 21%.

Contract businesses drive growth

Operating revenue, also a non-GAAP measure, rose 6% to $2.76 billion. Ryder attributed that growth to contractual business in Supply Chain Solutions and Fleet Management Solutions. Total revenue increased in all three business segments.

The results clearly advance the expectations examined in NextNow’s earlier preview; they are actual quarterly figures rather than predictions.

Earnings guidance rises, revenue forecast holds

Ryder now expects full-year comparable earnings of $14.85 to $15.05 a share. Its July release had forecast $14.40 to $14.80.

The company retained its annual operating revenue growth forecast of 3%. An improved earnings outlook should therefore not be described as an increase in every part of its financial guidance.

In July, Ryder had reported second-quarter revenue growth of 5% and operating revenue growth of 3%. The latest quarter shows faster growth in both measures, although the comparison does not establish identical conditions across individual customers or markets.

For transportation buyers, the useful distinction is between a supplier’s reported performance and the capacity or service terms available for a particular operation. The earnings release is not a customer-specific availability guarantee.
