Legora announced a $550 million Series E at an $8.8 billion post-money valuation on Oct. 21, 2026, adding capital for international expansion and development of its AI software for legal professionals. The round is separate from the company’s similarly sized financing in March.

The company announcement names Atreides Management as lead investor, with new participants including Baron Capital, Capital Group, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Glade Brook Capital Partners and J.P. Morgan.

Expansion and product development

Legora says the capital will support North American expansion and its markets in Europe and Asia-Pacific. It also plans further investment in Legora aOS, its platform for lawyers and agents. These are intended uses of the financing, not completed deployment outcomes.

Axios’ Pro Rata newsletter also reported the financing and valuation in its Oct. 21 venture-capital roundup.

A new round, not a repeat announcement

In its March 10 release, Legora announced a $550 million Series D led by Accel at a $5.55 billion valuation. That earlier funding focused on U.S. expansion, including new Houston and Chicago offices alongside New York and Denver.

The distinction matters when assessing the company’s financing history: the dollar amounts match, but the round labels, lead investors and valuations differ.

For law firms and corporate buyers, the new funding signals additional resources behind a software supplier. It does not establish the accuracy of AI-generated legal work, the quality of a particular implementation or a customer’s return on spending.
