Tenstorrent announced on Oct. 19, 2026, that it closed a $1.5 billion Series E financing at a $6.2 billion post-money valuation, providing capital for manufacturing and wider deployment of its AI computing hardware.

Trace Capital and Innovation X led the equity round, according to the company’s announcement. Participants included Fidelity Management & Research Company, Morgan Stanley, Sandisk and other new and returning investors.

Servers and licensed designs

The company said it will use the money to expand deployments of Galaxy servers and develop the AI and CPU intellectual property it licenses to customers building their own chips. It describes a business spanning individual cards and workstations, larger computing systems and licensed designs.

Axios reported the financing Monday and identified scaling manufacturing as a use of the proceeds. Its account places the investment in the competitive market for AI computing, where Tenstorrent has expanded from chip designs into servers.

The funding figure describes new capital; the valuation describes the company’s equity value after the investment. Neither number is revenue, a customer order total or installed computing capacity.

For enterprise buyers evaluating additional hardware suppliers, the announcement strengthens the financial resources behind Tenstorrent’s expansion plans. Delivery schedules, software compatibility and performance on a buyer’s actual workloads remain separate questions; the financing is not a benchmark result.
